Newest Arrival: MILKIES MILK-SAVER ~ Don't Waste a Single Drop of Your Breastmilk

The human body is a miraculously functioning machine.  When you put your baby to your breast to nurse, your body naturally knows to let down your milk...open the spout so to speak.  This allows your baby to begin nursing without much effort.  Because your body has no way of controlling which side to let down, it lets your milk down on both sides at the same time.  This allows a small amount of the breastmilk to leak out of the opposite breast that the baby isn't nursing on.  It isn't usually much, maybe and ounce or so is typical, but can vary from half an ounce to 4 ounces for some moms.  Since every drop of your breastmilk is so valuable, it is a shame to let that leaked milk simply fill up your breast pad or make a mess on you, if you are not wearing a pad.  That was the motivation behind the creation of the Milkies Milk-Saver Breastmilk Collection Kit.

The Milkies Milk-Saver is one of those "Why didn't I think of that?" products.  Simple, yet ingenious!  The BPA and Phthalate-Free, pliable material cup is simply placed inside a nursing tank or bra cup of the breast that you are not going to nurse on.  Then when you put baby to the breast, your milk will let down and any breastmilk leaking from the opposite side will be captured in the Milk-Saver.  You might be surprised to see how much milk is actually being leaked out each time you nurse.  After you are done nursing, simply take the Milkies Milk-Saver out of your bra and pour the collected breastmilk into your storage or freezer container.  You also have the option of attaching breastmilk collection bags directly to inside of the Milk-Saver cup, saving one step in the collection and storage process.

If you only saved 1 ounce of milk with each feeding throughout the day that could easily add up to 6 ounces or more every single day!  That is one entire feeding for many babies.  If you saved the milk by freezing it then you could use it later when baby is beginning to eat cereal and you need to add a little milk...why add cows milk that might upset baby's tummy?  When baby begins to learn to use a sippy cup, wouldn't it be great to continue giving your little one breastmilk?

I've had many moms asking me about getting the Milkies Milk-Saver in my store.  I've even received some great feedback from moms who have used the Milkies and Love them!  I always listen to mom's...so now we have Milkies Milk-Savers available at The Baby Store Plus!  You can find them in our online store for $25.95 each, or buy two or more and get them for just $24.95 each!  You only need one Milk-Savor, but many moms like to have a spare so they can keep one at home and one it their diaper bag, that way they will never be stuck out somewhere without one handy.  Each Milk-Saver comes in its own travel storage case so it stays clean while in your diaper bag.
