Super Shields Plus by Pumpin' Pal ~ Sit Back Breast Pump Shields

Ever wish there was such a device that would allow you to sit in a comfortable, semi-reclined position while using your breastpump? Well, such a device exists! It's called the Super Shields Plus made by Pumpin' Pal, International.
They are specially shaped breast shields that attach to just about any electric breast pump. The special shape points in a downward position because as everyone knows, liquid does not run up-hill.

The information on the Pumpin' Pal website states that the Super Shields Plus Angled breast pumping flanges allow you to sit back while using a breast pump, watch a live demonstration video here. This shape eliminates constriction of milk ducts caused by traditional flanges, promotes better flow, reduces irritation to the nipple area and helps users sit back in a more comfortable, natural position while pumping.

The Super Shields Plus can be used with hands-free systems for the ultimate in relaxed and productive pumping and are especially effective for new moms and C-section moms. Pumpin' Pal says the use of Super Shields Plus aids in the prevention of mastitis and other breast infections caused by plugged ducts. They are BPA Free, made with Medical Grade Polypropylene and are available in three sizes.I think this is such a great idea! It can be hard on your back sitting up in a straight or slightly forward leaning position while pumping to insure that the breastmilk runs down the tubes to your storage bottles, but with the Super Shields Plus the angle of the shield can be adjusted so that just about any position you choose to sit in will allow a downward flow without the breast shield filling up with milk.

The Baby Store Plus now carries the Super Shield Plus by Pumpin' Pal in our brick & mortar shop as well as in our online shop too. Priced at just $12.95 for a pair, they are a very reasonable accessory to use with your favorite breast pump.

To assure you get just the right size Super Shield Plus use this sizing chart. First, find your bra band size on the left side of the chart. Then determine the diameter of your nipple (not including the areola) by comparing it to a pencil, dime, nickle, or quarter. Now work your way across the chart to find the box that has your cup size AND the nipple diameter size. The color of the box will quickly tell you what size Super Shield Plus that you need. Yellow indicates Medium, Blue/Green indicates Large, and Purple indicates X-Large. If the color is Green or Peach then it indicates that two different sizes are recommended for you, in that case they recommend that you either purchase both sizes or the smaller size of the two.

If you have used Pumpin' Pal Super Shields Plus, please share your experience.
